Second, we do have a waiting list for anyone who is not employed full time as a property manager, with a Bonafide property management firm.

Membership Waiting List and Eligibility
 
Thank you for your interest in joining BOMA FTL/PB. Individuals who are not employed full-time by a Property Management firm should be aware that their admission is subject to a waiting list. This policy is in place to maintain an equal ratio—50/50—between property managers and service providers (vendors) within the organization. Please note that memberships are awarded on an individual basis rather than to entire firms.
 
Bypassing the Waiting List
 
There are two primary options to bypass the waiting list:
  1. Option A: If you can identify a non-member commercial office, industrial, medical, or retail property manager who is willing to join BOMA at the same time as yourself, you may bypass the waiting list. It is recommended to reach out to your commercial property manager clients and inform them about the benefits of BOMA membership. Interested managers should contact the BOMA office at (561) 395-6664. If your referred manager joins, your membership may be approved simultaneously.
  2. Option B: BOMA provides two annual opportunities—in early spring and late summer—to bypass the waiting list by offering a $3,000 sponsorship. Please note that this sponsorship does not cover individual member dues or event tickets. Members who are currently on the waiting list will receive an email, typically sent in late February or early March and again in mid-September, detailing available sponsorships and their associated brand recognition benefits. Vendor Membership Process
 
If you are a vendor interested in becoming a member, you may request to be placed on the waiting list. Only paid members are permitted to attend most BOMA events. However, there are exceptions: the Ron Macklin Memorial Open/BOMA Day (golf tournament) and the TOBY Awards Ceremony are open to both members and non-members.
 
Our wait list currently includes several hundred individuals. To join, prospects typically either sponsor one of our major events or partner with a commercial property management professional who joins BOMA simultaneously. Because most members join through these pathways, we seldom contact individuals directly from the wait list.
 
Membership Dues and Terms
 
Associate Membership (Service Provider or Vendor)
  • Annual dues for primary members are $930.
  • Additional members from the same firm pay an annual fee of $800.
  • Membership is assigned to one individual per firm; any changes require a $100 replacement fee.
  • The designated member should serve as the primary attendee and representative for your firm.
Property Manager Membership
  • Annual dues for property manager members range from $735 to $405, depending on the employer and the timing of enrollment.
 
Membership Application Requirements
 
To qualify for simultaneous enrollment with a property manager, please email the name of the property manager, their company, and the company’s website address for pre-qualification to melanie@bomaftlpb.org
 
Eligibility for Property Managers
 
Property manager members must be responsible for managing commercial office, retail, medical, or industrial properties located in Martin, Palm Beach, or Broward Counties. Managers of residential properties—including HOAs, condos, country clubs, apartments, and similar property types—are not eligible for membership.
