Interest Group Application Form

The purpose of this application is to establish an Interest Group in the Michigan Academic Library Association (MiALA). According to the MiALA bylaws, five persons are needed to establish an interest group. All must be individual/student/retiree members of MiALA.

Name of Interest Group *

The statement of purpose for the proposed Interest Group *

List the names & Contact Information (Institution/email/phone) for each IG member (one line for each member, minimum of 5 required) *

Identify the member above who is the key contact & will provide meeting notes to the Interest Group Coordinating Committee *

Duties of Key Contact: This person will serve as the initial contact between the Interest Group (IG) and the Interest Group Coordinating Committee (IGCC). After approval of the application, the key contact will receive further information regarding the process of establishing and governing the IG.

Applications will be forwarded for approval. Once approved, the IG key contact will be contacted and information will be provided regarding listserv creation, etc. Please see the MiALA Bylaws document located on the MiALA website for more information regarding Interest Groups.
