2019 Culinary Cook-off Application - ORA Expo
The Culinary Cook-off is a cooking competition in which 12 of the most talented chefs in Oklahoma will race the clock to create dazzling dishes using a mystery basket of ingredients. Chefs will compete in various heats until the contest is narrowed down to the last two chefs.
Judges will consist of a panel of industry professionals who will critique each competitor on plate presentation, creativity, product taste, and sanitation practices, among other things. For each contestant, the high and low scores will be discarded.
Chefs will be competing for a trophy, medals, and cash prizes. In addition to the First and Second place winners, Third and Fourth place winners will be decided upon based on points during the Semi-Finals heats. This means more chances to win!
Heat times on Tuesday, August 13 are 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Those chefs advancing to the Semi-finals will compete on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., with the final 2 chefs competing in the Finals at 1:00 p.m.
All applicants MUST be available to participate on BOTH days.
