The Wastewater Operator Maintenance Technician II position is a non-exempt, unionized (AFSCME) position that reports to the Wastewater Supervisor. The current salary range for this position is $64,181.70 to $87,650.00, with the contract currently in negotiation. The Wastewater Operator Maintenance Technician II position must have a valid Class B CDL license with airbrakes and tanker endorsements and a Class I or II IEPA Wastewater Maintenance Certification. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience, with six to eight years preferred. The position performs technical and physical work on the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological systems associated with Bensenville’s 4.7 MGD WWTP, collection system, and lift stations.

Maintenance Supervisor

The Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District (FCWRD) is seeking applicants for its Maintenance Supervisor position. This is an excellent opportunity for an established maintenance technician looking to move into a supervisory role. A minimum of five to ten years of experience in wastewater system maintenance is required. IEPA Operator Certification(s) is preferred.

The Maintenance Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Plant Superintendent and is responsible for managing the Maintenance Department and its team of 3 – 5 Maintenance Technicians. The Maintenance Department performs a variety of tasks associated with the operation of the District’s 12 MGD wastewater treatment facility and 20 pump stations, including wastewater pumping, sludge processing, chemical addition, equipment operation and maintenance, and general labor.

The annual salary for this position would be $100,000 - $115,000, depending on qualifications.
