The Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District (FCWRD) is seeking applicants for a Wastewater Operator at its 12 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level candidate or an experienced operator looking for advancement opportunity to a supervisory or management position within 2 – 4 years.
The FCWRD Wastewater Operator position works under the direct supervision of the Wastewater Supervisor and Plant Superintendent and performs a variety of tasks associated with the operation of the wastewater treatment facility including wastewater pumping, sludge processing, chemical addition, equipment operation and maintenance, and general labor. No experience is required, however, previous wastewater experience and IEPA Operator Certification(s) is preferred.

This is a skilled, technical position that requires the individual to work in a safe and effective manner while potentially being exposed to hazards, including pathogens and diseases.
