Environmental Compliance Coordinator

The Human Resources Division of the Village of Addison is accepting applications to fill one (1) vacancy in the at-will, non-exempt, full-time position of Environmental Compliance Coordinator in the Public Works Department, Division of Water Pollution Control. Under general supervision, this individual’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the scheduling, monitoring, and required follow-up of daily operations, sampling, and inspections, while initiating and/or assisting in the enforcement of appropriate federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the Industrial Pretreatment Program. In addition to the responsibilities outlined within the Industrial Pretreatment Program, this person also responds, investigates, performs the necessary follow-up, and initiates and/or assists in the enforcement of appropriate federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the environmental issues which arise within the community (noise, air, land waterway, spills, etc.). The Environmental Compliance Coordinator works 40 hours a week, 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Will be required to work weekends, holidays and overtime to complete job requirements, as well as be on 24-hour call when necessary. Work is of moderate difficulty and is reviewed for progress and conformance to established procedures by the Director of Public Works and/or his designee.

Maintenance Mechanic

The Glenbard Wastewater Authority (“the Authority”) is recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic I, II, or III position. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement related activities at its advanced treatment facilities, including work on plant machinery, conveyor systems, piping systems, buildings, vehicles, and grounds; and to provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to the residents of the Villages of Lombard and Glen Ellyn and the general public. Water/Wastewater Energy Efficiency Engineer

This Engineer is responsible for leading and implementing existing and new Strategic Energy Management (SEM) efforts for our utility and industrial clients. The W/WW EE Engineer coaches municipal and industrial organizations to form energy teams, set goals, and implement measures to get moving on the path to reduced consumption and GHG emissions. This is a technical role that requires a deep understanding of municipal wastewater plant operations; the role also requires a high level customer engagement that results in generating work from existing and new clients. The W/WW EE Engineer delivers training and services to clients via long term relationships, while taking the lead to continuously improve SEM and its processes. The W/WW EE Engineer acts as a facilitator, educator, and technical liaison between our industry’s stakeholders: the plant staff and management, the consultants, the vendors, the regulators, and the electric utility.
