Event Description
Luncheon Description:
This presentation will cover a variety of new biosolids equipment, tools, strategies, and machine learning technologies. These aim to reduce operations and maintenance efforts, as well as lower operating costs.
Technology developments include maximizing equipment life, achieving higher cake total solids, in-line instrumentation, automated optimization options, and alternative technology developments for biosolids thickening, dewatering, drying, destruction, polymer, storage, and final utilization.
Each technology will be reviewed and explained. This will be followed by case studies showing where they’ve been implemented.
Technologies will range from well-developed to cutting-edge. Attendees will have a chance to participate in grading each technology on its full-scale feasibility and implementation likelihood.
Presenter: Adam Parmenter, Biosolids Practice Group Leader, HDR
Adam is a biosolids engineer working at HDR for the past 22-years. A majority of his experience comes from working at treatment plants with O&M staff. He has design, construction, and operation experience on multiple thickening, dewatering, and stabilization treatment technologies. His comprehensive knowledge gives reverence for the known technologies and a skeptical yet optimistic-eye for new technologies.
