Event Name:
RMWC Fun Run

Description:
Is Your Toilet Running? 5K Run/Walk
Fun Run Waiver (Required)

The Conference will be hosting its fourth annual “Is Your Toilet Running?” 5K Fun Run/Walk. You will not want to miss this fun event! The run starts at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2019. The name of the 5K was chosen to highlight water conservation:
• A running toilet wastes valuable drinking water and places additional demands on the water supply.
• A running toilet increases hydraulic loading and reduces organic loading in wastewater, both of which lead to less efficient operation of a water resource recovery facility.

The Fun Run/Walk is a fundraising event for the RMWEA Public Education Committee. All proceeds help support the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. This event generates funds through sponsorship signs which are posted along the race course. The start and finish line signs are $200 each, and the 1K, 2K, 3K, and 4K signs are $100 each. Please contact Brenda Varner for sponsorship information at bvarner@englewoodCO.gov by Monday, July 15th.

All participants will meet at the Keystone Conference Center registration desk at 1:30 pm and then walk over to the Start/Finish line just south of Keystone Lodge. The run will be an out-and-back course on the paved path adjacent to the Snake River. A map of the route can be previewed here:  2019 Run/Walk MAP.

Water will be provided at the start/finish line. All participants are invited to join the group for a post run happy hour and prize drawing at the Keystone Lodge’s Bighorn Bistro at 3:30 pm. Participants who register by July 15th will be guaranteed a FREE Fun Run/Walk T-shirt!
