This class will discuss the basics of backflow including surveying. Learn about cross connections plans and procedures. Participants will also learn what Virginia state regulations are and how to meet them.

This class will focus on aspects of pumps including in-depth pump maintenance, technical definitions, when to use what parts, engineering specs on pump curves, VFD’s, soft starts and NEMA ratings.  Includes problem solving for water hammer, line blow-outs, efficiency and how to apply pump curves.

This class covers how to simplify the written math question into how to find the formula, convert units and solve complex math steps in easily understandable methods.  Provides insights into the ABC formula sheet, gives examples of common exam questions and shows the student how to use the PIE wheels as well as how to use algebraic principles.
