Luncheon Description: The reduction of fugitive methane can help utility increase safety, meet climate goals, and increase resource recovery. This presentation will provide an overview of the future for monitoring and measuring fugitive methane, how its mitigation can be used for net-zero goals, and the state of WRF research projects.

Presenter: Trung Le leads Brown and Caldwell’s fugitive methane taskforce. He has twelve years of experience in planning, design, and research on solids and energy projects. His primary roles have involved technical design and biosolids process applications with expertise in digestion, energy, GHG accounting, and decarbonization strategies.

We have three teams competing in this year's RMWEA Student Design Competition. Their problem statement focuses on facility upgrades to meet upcoming stringent nutrient regulations at the Plum Creek Water Reclamation Authority. The competition will follow the RMWEA Board Meeting and will take place at the Plum Creek Water Reclamation Authority. We encourage you to attend in person to support our student competitors!

Schedule:
RMWEA Board Meeting 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Break & SDC Introductions: 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM
Student Design Competition: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Plumb Creek Plant Tour: 1:00 PM following SDC Awards (Required - Bring your own PPE)
