Wheel 3

Number of Sessions:            Four three-hour sessions 
Course Fee:                           $80.00
Dates and time:                     February 16, 18, 23 and 25, 2026.   3:00 - 6:00 PM

Description:
This class will provide hands on instruction for students who wish to advance their throwing and shaping techniques to make larger and taller forms.  Participants should be able to throw using up to 3 pounds of clay, prior to taking this class. Highly recommend completion of Wheel 1 and Wheel 2 or have equivalent skills.  Skills taught include:
- Using specific hand positions and tools
- Techniques for shaping forms
- Using increasing amounts of clay to throw (3 lbs and greater)
- Trimming a foot
- Pulling mug handles
- Using giffin grip
- Using different surface treatments
- Other skills as determined by instructor
Upon completion, participants should be able to make medium sized vases and bowls.
