Event Description

Empowered is a leadership development experience designed to elevate women across the construction industry. Running February through November, this program combines structured learning with meaningful peer connection—giving participants the tools, confidence, and community to grow as leaders.

Program Overview

Over the course of the year, participants engage in a blend of workshops and cohort-based experiences, including:

  • Six GiANT-based leadership workshops focused on mindset, communication, competency, influence, and long-term leadership path-building.

  • Monthly peer-processing lunches designed to help participants apply what they’re learning, navigate challenges, and support one another.

  • Two cohort dinners that foster deeper connection, reflection, and community-building.

    Program Overview:
Feb 12 - kickoff (all day + dinner)
    April 9 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    June 4 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    Aug 13 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    Oct 15 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    Nov 5 - afternoon + dinner

This unique mix of structured curriculum and peer support proved to be one of the most valuable elements for participants.

Why Empowered?

The construction industry continues to face a pressing need for strong, capable leaders—and women remain an under-tapped leadership resource. Empowered equips them with the skills, language, and confidence to step into the roles the industry needs most.

While the principles taught are universal, the program intentionally acknowledges the lived experiences of women in construction—such as smaller professional networks, limited access to mentorship, and fewer pathways into leadership roles.
