Description:

The path to playing with extruded clay begins with this training session.  Learn how to utilize the three extruders available in the studio. This is NOT a coiling class or extruder party.  However, for those of you wishing to learn coiling using these modern conveniences, this is a must.  Once you have been trained, you will join the list of individuals able to utilize the four and six-inch wall-mounted extruders, and handhelds. Participants will create their own pieces from Extruder output on their own. 

Participants will collectively, during class, choose a single clay body. One person will purchase with a credit card, the remaining participants will pay that individual for their portion, in cash. So participants need to bring small bills ( $5 and $1) for this transaction. 

Participants will learn:
- operation of three studio Extruder tools 
 

Supplies:

• Participants will decide during class the clay body to use and co-op purchase of clay, all participants work from the same block of clay (Bring CASH-to cover the cost of clay. Exact amount depends on number of class participants)
• Plastic bags and container for storing extrusions
• Wire clay cutter
• Ruler
