There are many requirements under HIPAA that have to be performed on an annual basis every year. These are called reviews, evaluations, and self audits that have to be documented and put into your HIPAA manual. Doctors usually have their staff perform most or all of these functions. Understanding what it is that you have to do as required by the law and understanding it in such a way that your staff can carry it out for you helps to keep the doctor safe and preserve the doctors time by having help and assistance in the process.
Therefore, this webinar is designed to help train on the different aspects of the HIPAA that are required while doing it in such a way that you can evaluate how your office stands relative to those issues presently and see the difference between what you’re doing presently and what needs to be done in the event that you’re deficient in some area. It becomes sort of a self audit tour of your office where you’re actually keeping score as you go and training your staff on the areas that they’ll need to learn and understand or will need to help you alter, perpetuate, our institute.
