Event Description
Explore Hancock Park & the Miracle Mile
Join us for a guided walking tour of Hancock Park and the surrounding Miracle Mile, where deep history meets major cultural investment. The tour centers on the world‑famous La Brea Tar Pits, then steps outward to explore how this landscape shaped—and continues to shape—Los Angeles. We’ll highlight LACMA’s campus transformation, the landmark Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and the newly completed Metro D Line (Purple) Subway Extension, a major infrastructure project reshaping access, density, and urban connectivity along Wilshire Boulevard. Along the way, we’ll discuss how geology, planning, transit, and cultural institutions intersect at one of the most dynamic sites in the city. This is a rare opportunity to see an active paleontological site alongside cutting‑edge architecture and transit investment in the heart of Los Angeles.

Date: Saturday, May 16th from 11:00am-12:30pm
