The Seminar: The University Aviation Association offers students and faculty the opportunity to interact with aviation industry leaders and members of Congress during the 2019 UAA Aviation Policy Seminar. The seminar takes place in January in Washington, DC. More information about the Seminar can be found at www.uaa.aero; select “conference/events”. This Seminar is recommended for juniors, seniors, graduate students, and faculty with a good background in aviation management.

Students, faculty, and institution facilitators will spend the week crisscrossing the nation’s capital attending briefings & seminars from NTSB, FAA, Congressional staff, and industry associations agencies such as NBAA & RAA.

Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how these agencies interact in establishing aviation policy and the opportunities available in the aviation industry.

Hotel accommodations: Holiday Inn Capitol (550 C Street, SW Washington, DC 20024). The University Aviation Association for check-in beginning Monday, January 7, 2019, check-out Friday, January 11, 2019. The rate is $159 per night.  Please note, this rate does not include DC tax, currently 14.95%. Please obtain a cancellation number when canceling a reservation. Deadline date to make the reservation is Monday, December 10, 2018. Reservation requests received after the deadline date will be subject to availability and prevailing rate.

Meals: Dinner the first night and breakfast Wed/Thur/Fri morning will be provided as part of the conference program at no cost to attendees. You should only need to allot for lunch and dinner daily for Wed through Fri and fast-food options are available within walking distance.

Dress Code: Smart casual, Shirt and tie required Wednesday & Thursday. School shirts Tuesday & Friday
