IWEA's Industrial Pretreatment Committee (IPC) has two goals:

Education: Verbal and written information regarding the Industrial Pretreatment Program, industrial waste management, and general environmental & technical topics.

Networking: Interaction amongst pretreatment program managers, regulators, consultants, operators, technicians, and educators.
To this end, the IPC coordinates with the Industrial Water, Waste & Sewage Group (IWWSG) to present an annual dinner meeting. The relaxed environment of the dinner before the presentation encourages networking. A presenter then discusses a topic of interest applicable to the technical audience. Afterwards, the information from the presentation is distributed to all IWEA members through The Clarifier.
