The Rocky Mountain Section of the American Water Works Association and the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association are proud to partner with the University of Denver to deliver the Rocky Mountain Advanced Leadership Academy.

This three-day program develops the advanced knowledge, tools, and skills today’s leaders need to effectively lead teams and drive impact. The curriculum blends academic research with practical application to deliver a robust experience for professionals from diverse industries. Whether you’re looking to build upon previous leadership training or deepen your expertise through a new lens, the Rocky Mountain Advanced Leadership Academy will challenge and empower you to reach new heights in your leadership journey.

Graduates of the Rocky Mountain Leadership Academy (RMLA) are strongly encouraged to attend, as the program is designed to build on concepts introduced in the introductory program. While prior RMLA participation is preferred, the program is also open to professionals who are eager to strengthen and expand their advanced leadership skills.

The training will be approved for operator credits in Colorado (2.25 TUs), Wyoming and New Mexico. Attendees of this class will receive 22.5 hours of training credits.

Come join us in Estes Park for beautiful fall weather and the Estes Park PWO Seminar on Wednesday, October 22nd.
The Estes Park PWO Seminar has been focused on providing curated and in-depth discussions of a variety of operator-centric topics. Our long-format (each presentation is 1-hour in length) allows for plenty of time for participants and presenters to become familiar and comfortable with the information being shared. We always strive to have sessions that you do not see often elsewhere! This year is no different and we have a great group of talented professionals sharing their expertise with us.
We will be exploring the following topics this year:

• An in-depth look at a side-by-side, longitudinal ammonia instrumentation trial
o Craig Hibbard & Jeff Brondum, Boxelder Sanitation District
• Strategies and tips for utilizing AI tools in a support role in your daily office tasks
o Savana Dumler, City of Berthoud
• An equipment selection role-play exercise
o Raegan Swartz & Sydney Rubin, Burns & McDonnell
• How Pretreatment and operations interact
o Rhonda Barton, City of Fort Collins
• An introduction to communications, PLCs, SCADA, logic, and networks
o Prime Controls
• How regulations are shaping operations
o Jesse Schlam, City of Fort Collins

A more detailed agenda will be updated soon.
