It’s time to take the controls! Nominations for the 2027 UAA Board of Trustees are officially open, offering you a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of aviation education and the industry at large. The UAA Board is composed of five Officers and fifteen Trustees who bridge the gap between academia and the flight line. If you’re ready to lend your expertise to our governing body, we want to hear from you.

Nominations are being accepted for five (5) Board of Trustees positions:
  • UAA President - 2 year term
  • UAA Vice President - 2 year term
  • Educator Trustee - 2 positions, 3 year term 
  • Industry Trustee - 2 positions, 3 year term
  • Member at Large - 1 position, 3 year term


The Election Flight Plan

All board positions are determined by a vote of the UAA membership. Mark your calendars for these key milestones:

  • April 30, 2026: Call for Nominations Closes. All nomination forms must be submitted by this date for committee review.

  • September 14–16, 2026: Elections Officially Open at the UAA Collegiate Aviation Education Conference in the Dallas Metroplex, Texas.

  • October 1, 2026: Online voting closes.

  • January 1, 2027: Successful candidates officially begin their terms.


Important Considerations

  • Self-Nominations: We encourage you to advocate for yourself! You are more than welcome to submit your own name for consideration.

  • The Selection Process: Please note that a nomination does not guarantee a spot on the final ballot.

  • Representation: To ensure a diverse and balanced Board, the nominations committee prioritizes a well-rounded ballot that represents the entire membership without duplicating representation from the same college or institution.
